Upscaling and other Optimizations
I've added support for AMD FSR 2 and nVidia DLSS. Upscaling allows running the game at a low resolution and scaling the image up using clever algorithms. It should improve the framerate while keeping the same image quality. You can try it out by activating it in the video settings. The results can vary, so best to play around with the settings until you find some that work for you.
Some other optimizations I worked on:
- Improved mini map performance by removing icons outside the circle
- Animation quality is now scaled depending on the size of the soldier on screen and on the amount of soldiers currently visible
- There is now more time between bots spawning so that shouldn't cause as many hitches when starting the game
- Footstep particle effects and sounds aren't played when they are a certain distance from the player
- Added a video setting to hide cosmetic soldier equipment
- Adjusted cull distance of soldier meshes
