Voicelines and Optimization!
Soldiers now reply with audio when you give them an order. They also let you know when they are under attack or have spotted an enemy. Care was taken so the soldiers only shout out when it makes sense and don't spam.
Some newer Unreal Engine 5 technologies like Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) can be heavy on computers that don't have the latest GPUs. So now there are options to switch to older technologies like Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing (FXAA) or turn Anti-Aliasing off completely. In some cases newer technologies might actually be faster than older ones, so it's best to play around with the settings and see what works for you.
Another optimization was done for CPU performance. Moving lots of soldiers around the map is actually very CPU intensive, as they need to calculate movement physics and update all their collision shapes and transforms. Now when AI soldiers are very far away from human players they switch to a lightweight mode where their movement is updated a lot less.

Improvements:
- Refactored the bot command code to make it more flexible
- Vehicle UI now shows currently occupied seats
- Ammo truck - Made cheaper. Increased ammo transfer distance. Only allow ammo transfer to vehicles and guns.
- Stationary MGs now have bigger turn angle
- Don't allow sprinting while getting up from prone
- When a control point is lost the message no longer covers the middle of the screen preventing shooting.
- Made S_Steppe_Allies more interesting by adjusting spawning and adding secondary objective.
- If a soldier has a Panzerknacker in inventory it is now shown on his back.
- Only show low ammo icon for vehicle on map if vehicle has occupants.
Optimizations:
- Now possible to choose older technologies in video settings to increase performance.
- Made bot movement less accurate when they are far away from human players. This leads to better performance.
- Steppe - Reduced grass and rocks and turned off grass shadows. Set cull distances for reed, trees and rocks.
Bug fixes:
- Grass near the player was loading in very late, especially on Steppe. Now the grass around the player is loaded first.
- Vehicles spawned empty when too many AI soldiers were in the game
- Inventory UI was overflowing
- MG-34 sight were blurred
- Turret rotation sound did not stop when controlling bot died
- Commandable bots list was not sorted sometimes
